You ever happened to be practicing a sport or playing a game and you suddenly start to fail and you just keep getting worse? What do you think then? Certain phrases come to mind such as "I'm going to lose," "now I will play horribly", "the other person is playing better", "I will fail".
What can you do when all these thoughts come to mind, you can believe them and act as if they are real, or we can not believe them, realize that these are only thoughts and stay centred on the game. That your mind saying all these things to you do not mean that they are real, the words are constantly in your mind, however they are just words, it is up to you to decide if you want to believe them or not. I propose an activity to improve attention. If you practice any sport, try to visualize yourself doing it. I.e., represents the activity that you do, if you are playing tennis, for example in your mind, imagine yourself doing the back hand perfectly. To practice this technique start with any image, visualize it in your mind, think of every detail, the emotions that it make you feel, the sounds, movements. Then do it with the activity that you want to improve, in this case, with the example of tennis, you imagine yourself making the perfect hit, all the movement of your body, how to hit the ball and where it would come. When you master this representation put it into practice in the game, when you have a game of tennis, just before serving visualize yourself doing the serve. This technique allows you greater mental control of execution and an improvement in the coordination and accuracy.
