The importance of staying active

Good nutrition is essential to our health, however physical excercise is also needed in order for us to lead a halthy life style. Staying active improves quality of life, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, improves mood , brain activity, memory, counteracts stress, promotes intestinal transit, improves the immune system, and reduces the rate of aging among many other benefits. The study "Interheart" has shown that there are eight risk factors for possible heart attacks and one of them is a sedentary lifestyle. According to the National Health Survey, 4 in 10 people are considered sedentary. If you're one of those four who maintains a sedentary lifestyle and want to engage in a more active life, think about what kind of activity you want to do, some aerobic exercise, walking, running, cycling, going to the gym, playing sports, zumba, pilates, you have many options, choose the ones you like. It is also a way to promote social interaction and meet new people. Our body is like a car engine and as such needs to be active and requiers proper maintenance (food). If you neglect being active and eating right you could encounter serious health problems that could otherwise be avoided through basic “maintenance” Think about which sport or type of exercise you want to do and start!
